Moss Strip in the Showroom of Werder Carpentry
The new showroom of Werder Carpentry Ltd in Wängi blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. To reflect this in the interior as well, the team was looking for a unique wall feature – something natural and distinctive that would add character to the space. Our moss installation not only serves as decoration, but also reflects the values of the joinery: quality, handcrafted detail, and authenticity.
The result is a custom moss strip that fits seamlessly into the interior while also drawing the eye. By combining different moss types with exotic leaves, we created a vibrant natural composition that engages on both a visual and emotional level. According to Werder, the moss was “very well received” by their customers – a clear sign that the installation had the intended effect.
Design & Impact
Structured Composition
The moss strip was made up of several individual pieces that were assembled on-site to form a cohesive whole. A sturdy felt strip served as the base, onto which we arranged various moss types in different shades, along with selected botanical leaves. We used reindeer moss, cushion moss, forest moss and exotic foliage to create a varied structure with natural depth and texture.
Effect in the Space
The moss element adds warmth and vitality to the showroom and forms a natural contrast to the high-quality woodwork. For visitors, the green installation becomes a visual highlight that communicates professionalism and innovative thinking. At the opening, the client enthusiastically said:
“Your moss was very well received.”
