Impressive Indoor Greening in the VIVO Tower Community Zone
Communal areas are the heart of modern buildings. They define the first impression and provide a place for interaction. At the VIVO Tower in Aesch, we had the privilege of designing an impressive indoor greening project for the central community zone, which also serves as the first space upon entering the building. Various maintenance-free plant arrangements create a natural, inviting atmosphere with high aesthetic quality.
Highlights include freestanding Populus plants, a room-dividing Bonsai garden with Juniperus and Tobira plants, and a large plant composition in a 180 cm wide planter in the center of the room. This green design not only creates a visual "wow" effect upon entry but also promotes encounters, exchange, and creative impulses.
The special feature: all plants used are maintenance-free, incur no ongoing costs, and remain beautiful and durable for many years.

Masterful realisation of a vision
As specialists in premium indoor greenery, we were brought in by our interior partner for this exceptional project. Based on visualisations and plans, we defined the ideal plant selection and layout. Our florists then installed the arrangements on site in custom containers and dividers, bringing the concept to life.
Two green islands as social hubs
The signature feature is two large, custom wooden elements that elegantly combine planting and seating. One became a bonsai garden with curated juniperus and tobira, creating a calm, almost meditative feel.
The second is a large plant island with a 180 cm diameter. A dense mix of eucalyptus — populus, nicoli and parvifolia — brings lush vitality. Both islands act as natural anchors that invite people to pause and connect.
Freestanding accents complete the picture
To extend the concept, several freestanding populus plants in elegant pots were placed across the space. They soften the architecture, add green focal points and support a harmonious atmosphere.

More than decoration, this generous greenery creates an immediate wow effect and turns the communal zone into a lively, inspiring place. Natural elements enhance well-being, spark creativity and improve spatial quality — a sustainable, maintenance-free oasis.
