A green eye-catcher for the SUVA cafeteria
Today, a cafeteria is much more than a place to eat – it is a social hub, a space for creative breaks and relaxed conversations. During the renovation of its cafeteria in Zurich, SUVA was looking for a distinctive design element. From the outset, the vision was clear: a large-scale moss wall made entirely of bun moss, bringing a natural and calming atmosphere to the space.
We brought this idea to life with a nearly six-meter-long, custom-made bun moss artwork. Framed in elegant Spa oak, it now serves as the centerpiece of the redesigned cafeteria. The lush green and three-dimensional texture of the moss energize the room, create a fresh ambiance and contribute to better acoustics – a true added value for employees’ daily breaks.
A Natural Masterpiece for the Coffee Break
From Request to Final Design
The request for this project came directly from the interior design studio responsible for the renovation of the SUVA cafeteria. The vision for a bun moss artwork was clearly defined from the very beginning. Through phone consultations we finalized the details together, including the exact dimensions, the deep forest green color for the moss, and the oak spa finish for the wooden frame.
A Panoramic 3D Moss Landscape
The result is an impressive, custom-made bun moss wall art in a panoramic format of 550 x 80 cm. The entire surface was meticulously handcrafted in our manufactory with our high-quality bun moss in forest green. Framed in an elegant oak spa frame, the piece highlights its natural elegance.
A Calming Effect for a Busy Space
The bun moss gives the wall a fascinating 3D effect and creates a fresh and calming atmosphere. The cafeteria thus becomes an inspiring place for breaks and conversations. At the same time, the large moss wall improves the acoustics thanks to its sound-absorbing properties – an important factor in a lively cafeteria. The artwork is 100% natural and completely maintenance-free.
