Exclusive Moss Wall Installation in Private Living Room
A blank wall with plenty of potential – that’s how this residential project in Switzerland began. The client reached out to us directly on Instagram, with the idea of transforming the large open wall in her living room using moss, light, and wood. She was looking for a solution that combined aesthetics and functionality – ideally, everything from a single provider.
We then developed a holistic concept that included not only greenery but also lighting design, custom carpentry, and acoustic elements. At the center of the composition are four differently sized round bun moss circles in vibrant apple green. With their unique 3D effect, they appear to float in front of the wall. Framed by natural oak acoustic panels and set into a hidden LED-ready substructure, the entire installation was brought to life atmospherically. The lighting can be dimmed and adjusted in color – individually for each moss circle and across the full wall. The custom sideboard crafted by our local carpenter rounds off the overall composition. Besides its stunning aesthetics, the acoustic elements noticeably improve the sound quality in the room. A truly unique wall design that feels straight out of a dream home magazine.
Implementation & Impact
From Vision to Realisation
It all started with a message on Instagram – and became something truly special. The client had been searching for someone who could combine moss, lighting, and carpentry – all in one. With us, she finally found what she had been looking for.
After a first phone call, we developed a holistic concept that included greenery, lighting design, acoustic planning, and bespoke furniture. Our florists created four apple-green bun moss circles in different sizes – tailored to the wall’s unique triangular geometry reaching up to the ceiling.
Our partner carpenter crafted the made-to-measure sideboard and installed it on site, together with the oak acoustic panels, the moss pieces, and the complete LED setup. An electrician ensured everything was professionally connected and seamlessly integrated into the wall structure.
A highlight: The LED lighting surrounds not only each moss piece but also the entire wall structure. All light sources can be individually adjusted in brightness and color – depending on the time of day, atmosphere, or occasion.
The Result
The change in the room is tangible. The bun moss elements appear to float in front of the wall – especially in the evening, when the lighting brings the scene to life. The interplay of moss, wood, and lighting creates a natural, modern, and refined feature wall. At the same time, the acoustically active structure significantly improves sound quality. For our client, this project fulfilled a real dream.
