Natural Design for the Miele Showroom
In a showroom where premium products are displayed, the surrounding environment must reflect the same high standards of design and quality. At the new Miele Competence Center in Biel, operated jointly with Rey Allround AG, the goal was to create an elegant yet natural atmosphere.
We were commissioned to install two bespoke moss walls made from a mix of forest moss and bun moss. The main focus was seamless integration with the existing showroom design. The real wood veneer frames were custom-built to match the tone and texture of the surrounding display furniture. The result is a perfectly coordinated setting that subtly enhances the premium character of Miele products. With their vibrant look, the moss walls enrich the customer experience and bring natural freshness into the space.
A Green Stage for Premium Products
The request from Miele AG and Rey Allround AG for their shared showroom in Biel came during the shop construction phase. After a series of phone consultations, inspirational references, and sample deliveries, the vision became clear: two large moss walls that blend seamlessly into the high-end environment.
Perfectly Aligned with Interior Design
A key aspect of achieving a harmonious result was the frame design: the real wood veneer was colour-matched and tailored precisely to the material of the existing drawer fronts. This attention to detail enabled a seamless and high-quality integration.
Where Nature Meets Technology
Both walls were crafted using a rich mix of forest moss and bun moss in apple green. One of the walls includes a built-in TV screen – a stylish bridge between organic material and digital presentation.

Today, the moss walls are much more than decoration. They create a fresh, energising atmosphere that enhances the shopping experience. Their natural presence reflects Miele’s design and sustainability values, while their sound-absorbing properties ensure a pleasant acoustic environment – all without the need for any maintenance.
