3D Moss Heart in the Bistro Area of the Petrol Station Shop
For the bistro area of the LAVEBA petrol station shop in Buchs SG, the LAVEBA cooperative was looking for a strong visual feature that would highlight the brand’s regional roots and enhance the bistro wall. The aim was to present the heart symbol of the company’s Regio brand in a modern way while creating a direct connection to regional values and nature.
Using real preserved reindeer moss in three precisely coordinated colours, the brand logo becomes a tactile eye-catcher on the wall. The combination of natural materials and a distinctive shape creates a warm and inviting atmosphere in the shop for coffee breaks and short stops. Thanks to the long-lasting preservation, the installation retains its colour and fresh appearance for many years without maintenance, water or ongoing operating costs.
Bespoke Moss Branding for the Bistro Area
Precise Colour Matching and Exact Brand Shape
The LAVEBA cooperative approached us with a clear design brief: the familiar heart of the regional brand was to be recreated in three dimensions using real moss. After defining the exact dimensions, we provided the customer with physical colour samples in different shades of green. The final choice combined forest green, apple green and yellow, allowing the existing brand colours to be reproduced very closely.
Precision Craftsmanship in Our Manufactory
The base consists of a 19 mm white Kömacel board. To separate the individual colour zones of the heart precisely, the carrier was produced with custom-milled recesses. These recessed sections provided the ideal foundation for the reindeer moss design. The different moss colours were then carefully worked by hand into the recesses to create a dense and precise finish.
Modern Moss Branding with Natural Character
Mounted on the wall in the bistro area, the 3D moss heart creates a fresh accent and immediately catches the eye. The reindeer moss gives the logo noticeable depth and clearly sets the familiar brand symbol apart from conventional wall decoration. As a result, the bistro area feels significantly more welcoming and offers guests a more pleasant atmosphere during a coffee break or quick snack.
