A green "Välkommen" for IKEA
For the employee entrance area of IKEA AG MCDC Switzerland in Itingen, a wall design was sought that would reflect the company's Swedish spirit and provide a fresh welcome every day. The client's idea was as clear as it was fitting: the Swedish welcome greeting "Välkommen," crafted from natural moss letters.
A key requirement for IKEA was the issue of fire safety. Our solution was able to fully meet this requirement, as our moss products are standardly equipped with a fire-retardant treatment. We produced the 35 cm high lettering in the desired IKEA font using vibrant, meadow-green reindeer moss. The result is a friendly and inviting eye-catcher that enriches the employees' daily routine and underscores the connection to IKEA's Swedish heritage in a pleasant, green way.

Concept and implementation
The request from IKEA was very specific from the beginning: they wanted the lettering "Välkommen" made from moss letters. The subsequent discussion focused primarily on clarifying technical details. A particularly important point for the client was fire safety. Since our moss letters are standardly treated to be fire-retardant and are classified as flame-resistant (RF 2), we were able to meet all requirements and guarantee the necessary safety.
Custom-made down to the last detail
Each letter of the "Välkommen" sign was handcrafted by our florists in our production facility. The letters are 35 cm high and were produced in the exact font requested by IKEA to ensure perfect consistency with the corporate design. The material used was exclusively high-quality reindeer moss in a fresh meadow green. The finished letters were delivered including the appropriate hardware for easy wall mounting.
A welcome that resonates
The green lettering transforms the formerly white wall in the entrance area into a warm and friendly reception for all employees. It is a creative eye-catcher that, with its natural look, creates an inviting atmosphere and enriches the daily work routine in a special way. The design subtly and stylishly emphasizes IKEA's Swedish heritage. As a maintenance-free and long-lasting natural product, it is the ideal, uncomplicated solution for a high-traffic area.
