First impressions matter! For the lift lobby of CIC Bank in Basel, the goal was to create a feature that would shape the first impression and leave a lasting impact. The client wished for a large moss picture that would offer a natural yet professional look.
As specialists in natural design, we turned this idea into a refined design element. The result is a 240 × 130 cm moss picture made of vibrant apple-green bun moss, whose 3D texture contrasts beautifully with the cool sheen of the solid stainless steel logo. A deliberately uncovered edge on the deep black backing board creates a sleek framing effect without requiring an external frame. The result is a premium welcome element that subtly reflects the brand identity and makes a lasting impression on both clients and staff.

After CIC Bank reached out about a bun moss feature, we provided detailed visualisations showing how the installation would look in the space. An important step was also the sample shipment by post – allowing the client to experience the tactile quality of our materials and select the ideal moss tone.
Contrasts That Work
The 240 × 130 cm moss piece impresses through the interplay of materials. The vibrant, organic texture of apple-green bun moss sits on a "deep black" backing board. We left a narrow border uncovered, creating a modern framing effect that needs no extra edge. The centrepiece: the “CIC” lettering crafted from solid stainless steel. The precise, cool finish contrasts strikingly with the natural softness of the moss and highlights the brand’s quality standards.
